It is curious that we recite “hinenei muchan umezuman”– declaring our intent to fuflill a mitzvah at many points during the pesach Seder.  In fact, one of the primary sugyot  addressing whether mizvot require kavvanah focuses on eating matzah on Pesach, and a number of aspects of Pesach touch on questions of intention.

In this series of classes we will look at this sugya and related topics dealing with intention and the performance of mizvot concerning Pesach and the status of mental acts such as bitul hametz.
