Benjamin Sommer
Benjamin Sommer is a Professor of Bible and Ancient Semitic Languages at JTS. He is the author of The Bodies of God and the World of Ancient Israel and A Prophet Reads Scripture: Allusion in Isaiah 40-66. He has a PhD in Bible from the University of Chicago, an MA in Near East and Judaic Studies from Brandeis University.
